How to apply for a Cayman Islands job through WORC
To apply for a Cayman Islands job, find the advert on the official WORC Jobs Portal (my.egov.ky), register for a WORC account and complete your profile with the required documents, then apply through the portal before the closing date (WORC, 18 July 2025). Work permits are handled by WORC, whose own pages are linked below. Cayman Job Finder lists 1,282 current WORC adverts (28 October 2026) but is independent and never takes applications.
Independent guide, not legal advice. Cayman Job Finder is a free, independent website. We are not WORC (Workforce Opportunities & Residency Cayman) or the Cayman Islands Government, we never take applications, and we never charge job seekers. Rules and processes change, so always check WORC's own pages, linked below, before you act.
1. Find the job
Most Cayman Islands vacancies are advertised on the official WORC Jobs Portal. Cayman Job Finder copies those public adverts so they are faster to browse. Each of our job pages shows the WORC job ID and links to the official advert.
2. Apply on the WORC Jobs Portal
- On our job page, follow the link to the official advert on the WORC Jobs Portal.
- Check that the title, employer, WORC job ID and closing date match.
- Read the official advert in full and apply through the portal before the closing date. WORC says to register for a WORC account and complete your profile, including uploading the required documents, then apply directly through the portal (WORC, 18 July 2025).
Never pay anyone who asks for a fee to "secure" a Cayman job or permit.
Why apply through WORC, not through us
WORC says that under current regulations every job vacancy in the Cayman Islands must be posted on the WORC Jobs Portal, and that employers must receive applications through it. It advises job seekers to avoid engaging with adverts outside the WORC system, such as unofficial job boards, social media posts or third-party recruiters promising employment (WORC press release, 18 July 2025). That is why Cayman Job Finder only helps you find WORC adverts: every job links back to its official advert, and we never take applications or ask for documents. If you're worried a job isn't genuine, WORC asks you to report it to its Compliance Team on 945-9672 or [email protected].
3. Registering with WORC as a job seeker
WORC's Employment Services Unit page describes three registration options: Job Seeker Assist (full service, Caymanians only), Job Seeker (independent, Caymanian) and Job Seeker (independent, non-Caymanian). It says the full-service option assigns an Employment Services Officer to help with job search, CVs and interview preparation. See also the Employment Services FAQ.
4. Work permits: where to find official information
Work permits for the Cayman Islands are handled by WORC. We don't explain eligibility, fees or forms, because they depend on your situation and the rules change. Use WORC's own pages:
- WORC Immigration Application Help, including fee assessments and permit cancellations
- WORC Work Permit & Permanent Residency FAQ
- WORC Immigration Forms
- Cayman Islands Government: Immigration (visas, residency and related services)
- WORC home page for news, office details and contact options
A few points from WORC's own FAQ (source):
- Work permit applications are submitted and paid for at the WORC office or online through the Jobs & Online Payments Service, and a checklist of requirements must go with each application.
- For English language tests with work permit applications, WORC accepts results from TOEIC and IELTS.
- Vacancies for Temporary work permit applications don't need to be advertised on the portal, but WORC still checks whether suitable Caymanians are available.
- To check on an application, contact WORC Customer Care on 945-9672 or [email protected]. The office is at Apollo House West, 87 Mary Street, George Town, open 8:30am to 4:00pm.
For advice on your own case, contact WORC directly or speak to a qualified Cayman Islands immigration professional.
