About the role
We are seeking a skilled, professional, and customer-focused Barber to join a busy barber shop. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services while maintaining excellent customer service and a clean, welcoming environment.
Duties include cutting, trimming, and styling hair according to clients’ preferences; performing fades, tapers, beard trims, and shaves; and providing grooming advice suited to individual clients. The barber must consult with customers to understand their desired styles, recommend suitable haircuts, and ensure customer satisfaction.
The role requires maintaining high standards of personal hygiene, cleanliness, and sanitation by properly disinfecting tools, equipment, barber chairs, and workstations between clients. The barber will manage appointments, attend to walk-in customers, maintain an organised workstation, and work efficiently to minimise waiting times in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong barbering skills, attention to detail, professionalism, punctuality, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. They must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when required, and contribute positively to a team-oriented workplace.
Previous experience in a busy barber shop and a commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality grooming services are preferred. A professional attitude and dedication to customer satisfaction are essential.
