Elevator Mechanic Assistant

Elevator Mechanic Assistant Androgroup Elevator Ltd. invites applications for a full-time position as an Elevator Mechanic Assistant under the category of technical trade work involving manual labour. Work is based in George Town, Grand Cayman. Typical work week is 45 hours, and the wage rate is dependent on experience ranging from CI$28.00 to $36.00 per hour. Benefits include statutory requirements such as health insurance, pension per law, vacation days (between 10 to 15 days per annum which is negotiable). Qualifications Applicants must hold experience in the elevator trade and should be skilled technicians holding a minimum of five years trade experience in the elevator trade. Applicants should also have an electrical background and knowledge as it relates to the trade. The applicant should be thoroughly trained in elevator safety regulations, be physically fit, not suffer from claustrophobia, have no reservations or impediments with working at heights or working in close proximity to moving mechanical parts. Description of Job The position requires experience with all major manufacturers and should include specific experience in the installation of all elevator components including hydraulic and traction elevators, trouble shooting, valve door operation, ride adjustments and installation in Synergy machine room less elevators. Also required is the ability to read drawings, interpreting layout, electrical schematics, wiring charts and working with apprentices.
