Janitor/Cleaner

Typical duties include

• Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors.
• Dusting and wiping furniture, fixtures and other surfaces.
• Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms, kitchens and frequently touched areas.
• Emptying rubbish bins, replacing liners and disposing of waste properly.
• Cleaning mirrors, glass doors and accessible windows.
• Restocking toilet paper, hand soap and other hygiene supplies.
• Carrying out scheduled deep cleaning as assigned.
• Maintaining cleaning equipment and keeping supplies organised.
• Monitoring cleaning stock and reporting items that need replenishment.
• Reporting damage, maintenance problems and safety hazards to the supervisor.
• Using cleaning chemicals safely, following instructions and wearing protective equipment when required.

The role requires reliability, attention to detail, good time management and the ability to follow instructions, work independently or with a team, and perform physical cleaning tasks safely.
