About the role
Operating motor grader to prepare base course to finished grades for roadways and parking lots and other types of asphalt surfaces. Must have a minimum of 10 years’ verifiable experience operating a motor grader for the preparation of roadways, tennis courts and parking lots. Must have proven abilities to prepare base course to finished grades with tight tolerances prior to installation of the asphalt pavement. Ability operate other types of heavy equipment would be an asset. Must be able to read plans and blueprints and understand elevations, slopes and grades as it relates to achieving positive drainage in accordance with storm water management plans. Only applicants meeting the above qualification will be interviewed. A test of skills and knowledge will be administered to qualified candidates. Must have a valid drivers’ license and a clean, police and driving record. Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays when required. Random drug testing may be required.
