Produce Clerk

Follow all Merchandising procedures including categorization, space allocation, product placement, organization, and product rotation. Knowledge of receiving goods, identify and process any discrepancies and ensure accurate inventory counts. Knowledge of retail procedures, customer service and produce items. Follow all store and department policies and procedures. Ensure that products are properly stacked and secured before placing or removing from steel racking. Cutting, wrapping, and weighing produce items for customers. Handling, packaging and sanitation of produce items. Organization and planning of daily response in other areas of the business including front end and overall store appearance. Following instruction promptly and efficiently, taking initiative when appropriate. Breaking down pallets, separating produce for sales floor, cooler and/or back room prep area. Maintained a clean, safe and appealing Produce area for our customers. Replenish stock and goods on display shelves. Filling and rotating produce cases and dry tables. Processing “Value Added Items” for Produce Specialty section.
