Tiler

General Builders Construction & Development Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tiler to perform advanced tile installations for commercial and residential projects throughout the Cayman Islands.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and preparing surfaces, designing tile layouts, installing floor and wall tiles, and delivering high-quality finishes, including intricate patterns and specialized installations.

This is a full-time position requiring 45 hours per week, with work performed at various project locations throughout the Cayman Islands.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of proven professional experience in tile installation. Employment references must be provided.
• Demonstrated ability to perform complex tile installations independently and to a high standard of workmanship.
• Strong attention to detail, precision and quality control.
• Experience operating various tiling tools and equipment.
• Willingness to work weekends, nights and public holidays as required.
• Physically capable of performing the duties of the position and working at various job sites throughout the Cayman Islands.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of tile installation techniques, including intricate patterns, precision cutting, specialized finishes and complex layouts.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design drawings, including detailed floor and wall layouts, bathroom and kitchen specifications, and specialty finishes.
• Comprehensive knowledge of tile materials, substrates, surface preparation methods, adhesives, grouts and finishing products.
• Proven experience in tile installation and finishing for new construction, renovations and remodeling projects.
• Ability to coordinate tile installation activities with other construction trades and project schedules.
